While I do not know what your personal pursuits are in regards to translating, but if your case is similar to mine in the sense that you translate fan content and publish it online without it being your actual job, I think you should prioritizing having fun with what you’re doing and finding your own style. I often find that my translation lacks the orginal intention or quality of the orginal, however a word for word translation can be very easily misinterpreted or not understood by an English reading audience. And when you invest your time into a series and fall in love with the characters, and story line, it can be very frustrating to be limited by a language. But the problem is that none of the Diabolik lovers games are in english. Because of the new anime adaption of the game, Diabolik Lovers series has gained many new followers that speak English. And they just finished off their second season of the show. It has also recently been made into an anime. Diabolik Lovers is a popular otome game created by Rejet and Otomate.
